Cloud kitchens

Delivery management for cloud kitchens and multi-branch brands

Ordrun Cloud follows a delivery order from the first phone call to the cash the driver brings back: the call centre sends it to the right branch, the fee comes from zones you draw on a map, the kitchen works from a screen, and every driver's cash is settled before the shift closes.

How a delivery order moves through Ordrun

Most delivery brands run on a hotline, a WhatsApp group and a notebook at the dispatch desk. In Ordrun, each step is the same order moving through connected screens:

  • Call centre: the agent finds the customer by phone number, picks the address and branch, and builds the order. The delivery fee fills in from the area the address falls in.
  • Branch handover: the order lands in the branch's queue. Accept sends it to the kitchen; reject needs a reason, and the agent sees which it was. Order types can also accept automatically.
  • Kitchen screen: every item has a status and a timer, tickets turn yellow then red as they wait, and the order is Ready when the last item is bumped.
  • Dispatch: the delivery desk assigns a driver and marks the run out, on the way, delivered or failed.
  • Settlement: the returning driver's cash is settled into the dispatcher's drawer, and the shift can't close while a delivery is still open.

Delivery zones on a map, with a fee for every area

Draw your delivery zones on a map in the back office, then the areas inside them, each with its own fee. When an address is entered, Ordrun works out which area it's in and which branch serves it, so nobody guesses and nobody types the fee. Prices follow the same map: one main price list, overridden by zone or branch, so the delivery menu or a mall branch can cost more without a second menu.

One call centre, every branch

A central hotline only works if the branch sees the order the moment it's placed. Call-centre terminals take orders for any branch, and the Call Center role can be limited to certain order types, say delivery but not dine-in. Behind it sits a multi-branch back office: one menu with prices per branch, staff who see only their branches, stock transfers with approval, and branch reports that export to Excel or PDF.

Who it fits, and who it doesn't

Ordrun Cloud is built for brands where delivery is the business, not a side channel.

  • A good fit: delivery brands with two or more branches and a central hotline, cloud kitchens with their own drivers, and busy takeaways that want a kitchen screen and tight cash control.
  • Not a fit yet: dine-in restaurants that need a table map or a waiter app. Cloud doesn't have them; Ordrun Lite has tables and open tabs for a single site.
  • Worth knowing: Talabat and elmenus orders aren't pulled in automatically, and ETA e-receipts aren't supported yet.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ordrun work for a delivery-only cloud kitchen?

Yes, no dining room needed. You set up the order types you actually run, like delivery and pickup, and the kitchen screen, dispatch board and drawer reports work around them.

Can I run several virtual brands from one kitchen?

Yes, with one account per brand. Each brand has its own menu, prices and subscription, and its orders show on that brand's kitchen screens. One account portal shows every brand and its sales.

Does it pull in orders from Talabat or elmenus?

No, there's no marketplace integration. You can add an order type for marketplace orders and ring them in, so the kitchen, stock and reports still count them.

What happens to delivery orders when the internet drops?

The till keeps taking orders and printing receipts, and kitchen screens keep working over the branch network. Delivery, handover, customer addresses and promo codes need a connection, so they pause until it's back. Offline orders then sync on their own, with no duplicates.

How does driver cash settlement work?

Each driver has a shift that sits under the branch's dispatch shift. On return, their deliveries are settled into the dispatcher's drawer, and the shift won't close until every run is settled or marked failed. Reports separate money collected from order value, so a prepaid order never looks like cash the driver owes.

Does Ordrun issue ETA e-receipts?

Not yet, and we have no date to promise. Today every receipt shows its tax breakdown, VAT can be set by branch, zone and order type, and the detail is kept on each order so e-receipts can be added later.

Which plan do I need for delivery?

Growth or Business. Starter is one branch with the POS and kitchen screen; Growth (2,900 EGP a month) adds delivery zones, dispatch, inventory and up to 5 branches, with a 30-day free trial.
