Café POS

A café POS that gets orders to the bar and keeps selling offline

Ordrun Lite in café mode is built for one café. Orders go in with their extras in seconds, the bar ticket prints at the bar, and the drawer is counted blind at close. It all runs on the device, so the counter keeps going when the internet doesn't. Pay once, from 3,000 EGP, after a free 30-day trial with no card.

How a café runs on Lite

Café mode turns on what a café uses daily; switch off anything you don't need.

  • Tap the latte, pick size, milk and sugar, add "no ice". Paid extras go on the price.
  • The bar ticket prints on a second printer in large type, without prices, so the barista sees only what to make.
  • Tables by area (inside, terrace), an open tab per table, move, merge or split a bill, print the check before payment, and add a service charge on dine-in.
  • Cash, card, Vodafone Cash, InstaPay or Fawry, or a split. Card and wallets are recorded, not processed: the money goes through the bank terminal or phone. The drawer opens only for cash.

Stop the cash leaks, even when you're not there

Cafés rarely lose money to one big theft. It goes in voids after serving, discounts for friends, and a drawer opened without a sale. Lite shows each one under the cashier's name:

  • Everyone signs in with their own PIN: owner, manager, cashier, or a role you create.
  • Voids after printing, discounts above your limit, manual prices and refunds need a manager's PIN, and the approver's name is saved.
  • Blind count at close: the cashier counts notes and coins without seeing the expected total, and the Z report shows each cashier's difference.
  • An audit log nobody can edit, and selling stops if someone winds the PC clock back.
  • With Pro: a recipe per drink, and a report comparing the coffee and milk you should have used with what actually went.

An offline café POS: what happens when the internet drops?

Nothing. Selling, printing, shifts, stock and reports run on the device, with the data encrypted. The internet is only for activating the licence (offline activation exists too) and for updates while support is active, and the licence never locks the till mid-shift. If the PC dies, your encrypted backup file and recovery code restore everything on a new one. Keep a copy on a USB stick.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

Lite fits a café, coffee kiosk, juice bar or small takeaway with one cashier at a time. It runs on a Windows PC (Android and iPad: ask us first), with any ESC/POS thermal printer, 58 or 80 mm, and Arabic prints properly.

  • Good fit: one café, one till, an owner who wants cash and stock under control without a monthly bill.
  • Not a fit: several tills at once, more than one branch, a kitchen display, or sales on your phone while you're out. That's Ordrun Cloud.
  • Worth knowing: no link to delivery apps like Talabat. Loyalty points come with Ordrun App, which runs beside the till; ask us.

What it costs, and how to start today

The Basic licence is 3,000 EGP once and stays yours on one device. It covers tables, open tabs, options, bar tickets, service charge, split payment and inventory. For recipes, the usage report or the order board, upgrade to Pro in your portal and pay the difference. Yearly support at 4,000 EGP is optional and brings new versions plus help by phone and WhatsApp.

  • Create your account: a 30-day trial key comes with it, no card.
  • Download Lite, choose café mode, save your recovery code.
  • Add your menu, or start from the sample items, and sell.
  • Buy in your portal when ready. Your trial key becomes your licence.

Frequently asked questions

Does this café POS really work without internet?

Yes. Sales, printing, shift close and reports all live on the device. You need a connection only to activate the licence once (or we do it offline) and for updates while support is active.

How much is it, and is there a monthly fee?

No monthly fee. The licence starts at 3,000 EGP, paid once. Support at 4,000 EGP a year is optional; without it the app keeps working for good, only new versions stop.

Does it issue ETA e-receipts?

Not yet, and we won't promise a date. Lite doesn't send receipts to the Tax Authority's e-receipt system today. It prints your tax number and commercial register, shows VAT on its own line, has a tax report, and keeps the data so the link can be added later. If you've been told to issue e-receipts, ask your accountant before buying.

Do I need new hardware?

Usually not, if you have a Windows PC: the download in your account is the Windows installer. For an Android POS terminal or an iPad, talk to us before you buy. Any ESC/POS thermal printer works over USB, network or Bluetooth, and the drawer connects through the printer.

Can I have more than one cashier or branch?

One licence runs on one device, with as many users as you like on their own PINs, so each cashier answers for their own shift. Two tills or two branches won't sync; that's Ordrun Cloud.

If the PC breaks or is stolen, do I lose my data?

Not with a recent backup. It's encrypted, your recovery code restores it on a new device, and we move your licence across.
